Poem: The Raining Waters By Cheryl Freier (author of The Grayling Hidden Truth Poems)

Down they come from the sky.

They appear almost invisible and tinsel thin,

As they gently touch the earth.

They flow among the many, many raindrops.

And join each other and fill the puddles on the earth.

And these puddles grow and grow,

Until they flow into the waters of the earth.

These reigning watersw provide us sustenance and growth,

Until they sky clears and then they disappear.

And in this scene all of the water seems erased,

As the bright rays of the sun warms the waters of the earth.

Yet the memory of the wate4rs have enriched the earth,

And the peacefulness of this knowledgte is everlasting.

Mothers and fathers enrich us with their nurturing,

And sustain us with their love.

And when they die, they leave us many memories

  Of the reigning raining raindrops.

These raindrops tell the story of life

At the beginning and the end.

For they have enriched our souls and lives,

During all their many, many seasons.

And the patter sound that they make as they are falling,

Tells us our loved ones are resting at peace.

Some Of The Pros And Cons Of Nature Makes Us Wonder About The Wonder

Some Of The Pros And Cons Of Nature

By Cheryl Freier

Fall cleaning of the yard came early this year.  The leaves had started to change color from the traditional green to the various hues of oranges, and yellows, and reds just after what seemed like an unusually warm August.  The colorful array of leaves started to cover the top of the green lawn so I knew I had to go outside and rake up some piles of leaves and then shovel the leaves in a large leaf bag.

And yet with all of the color changes of the leaves, and the weather suddenly becoming noticeably colder, and the sound of rustling leaves, which toots a sound special so as to easily identify its sound, there are sights of new growth of leaves.  I noticed new leaves starting to form and grow taller on the top of the iris bulbs.  It is the mystery of this mysterious cycle within the same given time of the year that creates within us the thrill of the discovery, and to search vigorously for some more new growth.

The next time that I say, “Oh, there are so many leaves on the lawn….Where did they come from?”  I shall remind myself that the way G-d designed the landscape is the best way.  Leaves fall because it is easier in winter for the trees to have lighter branches so that the weight of the snow does not hold the branch down for too long.  And there are dozens of other fascinating reasons; and, it always a wonder and happy feeling to see new growth emerging.

The poem: In Solemn Remembrance by Cheryl Freier Is a Reminder To All Of Us On Veteran’s Day

The poem: In Solemn Remembrance by Cheryl Freier Is a Reminder To All Of Us On Veteran’s Day

It is important to remember and to honor soldiers on Veterans Day.  I wrote this poem, In Solemn Remembrance a while ago to put in one of my historical fiction novels.  On this Veterans Day, I would like to share the words and the meaning of this poem with you readers.

I feel the sunshine of freedom flying high above me,

And bask in the warmth of the sun’s strong rays.

Breathing in the warmth of the fresh air, I am, I will, and I will be,

Whatever it takes me to accomplish in the days.

But I remember the history of the Holocaust as it was taught to me.

And all of the horrors, and the death, and the destruction that it relays.

Of suppression of freedom and the seeking out of Jews like me,

And of all the wrong deeds that they did on many and on that day.

Yet Jews survived to tell the story to you and to me,

And to remember all of those innocent of betray.

We take their memories, and their thoughts, and all of their hopes that

          We see,

And begin again with all of the memories on this Holocaust day.

We pray for peace and understanding that there should always be,

Remembrance, and peace, and hope, and tolerance for all who live

          each day.

Perhaps The Storybooks Which Tell Long Tales Of Ancient Castles Hidden Away And Decaying Have Some Credibility After All

Perhaps The Storybooks Which Tell Long Tales Of Ancient Castles Hidden Away And Decaying Have Some Credibility After All

By Cheryl Freier, author of The Wild Grasses Hidden Truth Poems and other historical fiction novels on WWII (Amazon.com)

Scary sights of castles which were in their heyday the most prominent buildings in the area, are decaying to the elements and will someday be gone from sight; their long history will never be told and the memory of their touching resident’s stories will be gone forever.

There was an interesting article on Yahoo internet which explained that the castles were mostly in decay and not used.  If you view these castles in an imaginative way, you can picture knights and their armies coming to visit.  You can visualize for more modern times mogul barons owning these homes and having lots of guests visiting.  However, as in times of the past, species become extinct, and styles of life change, or circumstances just happen.

When you read one of Cheryl Freier’s historical fiction books; and particularly, The Grayling Hidden Truth Poems, you will see destruction all around you.  People who lived during this timeline had to accept living in this type of environment and it was not easy.  It was an extremely depressive environment.
