The Day Of The Hidden Truth Poems (Poems by Martin Freier

In the book The Hidden Truth Poems by Cheryl Freier, the author tries to present all of Martin’s poems enveloped within expressive thoughts about reflections on life; particularly, the nightmare of living under constant fear when the Nazis took over Slovakia.

Martin’s family came to the United States shortly after the war. Martin always wrote poetry. His poems that were presented in The Day Of The Hidden Truth Poems were his most powerful. He shaped his words meaningfully, and thought out the outline of his reflections, and finished his poems with a final thought that was always realistic.

Life Over The Hill is one of Martin’s poems. The first chapter reads like this:
I used hear that over the hill
there is a rainbow.
People grow and grow
there ten feet tall.
Every day they’re having a ball.
Nothing like that ever happens
here at all.
Cheryl Freier has four novels in memoriam to her husband, Martin Freier.
